Option 1: Do without milk, yogurt and their ilk!

One option for combating lactose intolerance is a strict diet. It is by no means impossible to give up milk and dairy products entirely – however, it requires a lot of patience, as the composition of modern foodstuffs is increasingly complex. As a result, it is not always possible to tell for certain which products contain lactose and which ones do not. In addition, milk contains important nutrients (e.g. calcium), which the body should not be deprived of.

Option 2: Enzyme substitution with LACTOLSOLV®

If you have lactose intolerance, one alternative to a diet is to take the enzyme preparation LACTOLSOLV®. The enzyme substitute contained in LACTOSOLV® separates the lactose absorbed via the food in the stomach. Therefore, the dietary supplement assumes the function of the endogenous lactose that is lacking in the case of lactose intolerance, and generally allows sufferers to enjoy milk and dairy products with no complaints afterwards.

  • Normal situation
The enzyme lactase separates lactose into glucose and galactose, which can be absorbed by the small intestine.

  • Problem
If there is no lactase enzyme or an insufficient quantity of it, lactose cannot be separated and it cannot be absorbed by the small intestine. Problems arise in the intestinal tract.

  • Solution
LACTOSOLV® replaces the missing enzyme. Lactose is separated by the lactase (L) again, and there are no adverse symptoms.
